Jerry was a race car driver - he never did drive too fast

Wilkommen,
Today was thursday (to my recollection), and i was going to blog yestreday but my whole post was lost thanks to a little 'antivirus' bullshit attack thing. Lost all my work, i did. well anyway, it was practically what i'm about to write now.
I have been listening to nothing but Primus the last few days. Those who are not familiar with this band should be punished, but to sum it up quickly, they have one of the greatest rock bass players off all time (Les Claypool) and apparently a highly rated drummer (Tim Alexander), and some really good guitarist who i think is in the top 100 somewhere (Larry Lalonde). I bought one of their albums called Suck On This, and it has a picture of a baby with a milk bottle on the cover. Haha get it. Anyway, Les is my idol when it comes to playing bass, though his technique is out of this freakin world (maybe becuz he's never had a bass lesson) BUT ANYWAY.

Peoples, i have a really big update on the life of Jim. I have started up a band (which started a while ago, but now its official) with a friend of mine from primary school (max). So far we've written a shitload of songs, and i guess our music is sorta semi-hardcore punk, semi emo. Max has come up with our first band name suggestion (not that i'd call ourselves 'in a band') and that name is CPR. I think it stands for crap punk rockers, but i'll have to double check that one.
Dont get excited about this whole band thing, its just a work in progress thing...

Ahhh, i've signed up for table tennis this week and i dont show up most of the time. I dont think i'll make it into the team because i've only won one match, and that was against dd who didnt even really want to play table tennis at all. Oh well. Enough of my jibba-jabba talk, its time to throw in some pictures:

Les Claypools fingerwork on the ol' bass

Les Claypool dressed as some lolly pop guy

Well, thats all i got. I wont write the next episode to the adventures of ron and jimmy tonite, but soon tess. SOON.

#song of the day - Primus -laquer head# This is one of many primus songs i just cant get enough of. This is a very odd song, but primus are very original. Download it, and listen to the outro where he keeps saying "keep on sniffing till your brain goes pop, keep on sniffing till your brain goes pop... keep on sniffing till your brain goes pop, keep on sniffing till your brain goes... POP!!! Awesome shit. Both thumbs up. I lift my hat off to you, Les Claypool.

I have run out of clockwork orange quotes already

HELLOOOOOOOOO!
Gosh its been too long since my last post, and stuff has actually happened!!! Well lets start off with last week... ummmm i cannot remember! Lets just say i spent lunchtimes being casual and chill-ful (like my horoscopes tell me to), and just talking with chum buddies. Then i go home and go on msn for about an hour before waltzing off to bed. OOPS i almost forgot, and at 6:30 i watch neighbours and i try to never miss it (but i sometimes do). And then i start the same procedure again the next day.
I cannot wait till next month becuz its... yes, you guessed it... ICE HOCKEY SEASON!!! Pre-season starts september 10th and i go for new jersey devils and everyone shall to. And everyones mortal enemy is the philedelphia flyers becuz they're my enemys. BOO.

Well, lets move along to today shall we, seeing as though i have a short-term memory of my own life. Today it was the dreaded monday, and yup, triple-science. It was a living hell, but every second monday i actually live through it. Recess was just spent with me watching the primative apes play stacks-on (mostly on michael). Then marty came along and saved the day (i have no idea how).
Then it was lunchtime later on and i was one of those many people called up on the announcement. I was like "ohh i'm in trouble" but it was just for some gay absent notice thing. Then i went to table tennis try-outs and i doubt i'll get into the team becuz i left half-way through because i got bored. Hehe, it was good playing again though, i felt like a child reborn.
Then i just pimped my way down to the chill area and talked to a few people about nothing. Pretty ordinary day i guess, but what can you do?
I'm going through the weirdest phases in music. All in one day i've gone from indie, to punk, to ska, to funk, to chill-out shit (nick cave) then to funk and beastie boys. Strangest day, but i'm quite pleased with my music selections. Which leads me to my song of the day:

#song of the day - Junior Senior - move your feet# This song is played on this add, i forget what it is, but doesnt matter. This song is funky to the max and has an awesome bass;ine in the chorus which i live to learn. Download it, and groove the freakin night away. Enjoy.

>jim

This is scott gomez. He plays for new jersey devils in the NHL. You youngens better learn about your ice hockey, pre-season is coming up soon.

To what do I owe the extreme pleasure of this surprising visit?

Welly welly welly well... Hi and thanks for visiting, it has been a long time... well, its been a couple of days. Monday was really bad because i was sick from eating too much junk food at davs party, so i spent all day sleeping, watching blackadder dvds and going on the computer to look up really lame bands. Then it was tuesday... WOOO. Well, nothing really happened, i just talked to friends a bit more, while wondering where the hell dav and marty were. As it appears, it was their turn to take a day off, and that brings me up to TODAY. Oh yes.
I arrived at school in confusion as andy and steph madly made me sign some birthday card for shauno, then they rushed me outside to help with decorating the outside steps with pink streamers. I was all like "whoa i just got here" but shauno's birthday was a triumph. HAPPY B'DAY MY IRISH BROTHER.
We gave him his birthday card with everyones signings in it, and on the cover it said "to the birthday girl" or something..! Funny funny funny, but shaun thought differently. Then everyone decided to go to the square and buy him a cake, though he didnt want one, but they did, and they also got coke and shit. Shaun was like "i'm tired".

Well a great morning it was, until these people came along and CUT DOWN OUR TREES!!!!!! NOOOOO!!!! Those trees were memories of our feeble childhood, and now we are all lost and lonely. We must hold a funeral or something, because i miss those trees already.
Lets see, what else happened today... well thats it, apart from photography, but our teacher was away so we were all like "BLUDGE!" and yeah, that made my day.

Thats all i've got, but stay cool brethren, you always have.
>jim

#song of the freakin day - The Mephiskapheles- the bumble bee tuna song# This is another ska song, and the title was taken from ace ventura. I love that movie. Anyway, its top quality ska, top quality humour, without jokes though, just the lead singer talking about bumble bee tuna sandwhiches.

"So we're back where we started, right lads?"

Ahh good day good sirs,
This weekend was the one and only 'movie sleepover party' at dav's for the occasion of her 40-hour famine thingo. It involved myself, dav, marty and sammo. We bought way too much junk food, and we had plenty of movies, and heres what we managed to see (in order): Pulp Fiction, The life and death of peter sellers, A clockwork orange, The Shining, Catch me if you can. I think i've missed a movie on this list, but yeah oh well. I got absolutely no sleep saturday night and now i'm veeery tired. We came up with the funniest idea of playing dav's dance stage megamix game on playstaion 2, which is where you dance on the mat and try to get the right moves. We were so tired and it was funny becuz i cant dance anyway, and i'm even more retarded at dancing when i'm tired.
HERES MY VERDICTS ON THE MOVIES WE SAW:
Pulp Fiction- We all just sat around and chilled for the whole movie. It was our first viewing, so it was aaall good.
Life and death of peter sellers- This movie was really sad in some bits, and original, and the best thing is that its all true and i wont ruin anything.
A clockwork orange- Like marty says "It's a cult classic", which i'll believe, but it was just an abstract movie of rape, violence and pure insanity. Some parts i enjoyed and thought were really original, other parts i thought were just stupid and pointless. Definantly a work of art this one. By the way, the sub heading of this post is a quote i found razzling from this movie. You'll have to see the movie to understand the sick humour.
The Shining- This is in my top five favourite movies of all time. I'll never get sick of seeing this one, though it isnt scary the second time.
Catch me if you can- Well, i was half asleep (though i never got any sleep) while watching this. Either that or me marty and sam were listening to the llama song on the internet over and over. But i have seen this before, and its a great movie.

Well other than movies and sickness, there was a group of up that went to go see kung fu hustle at eastland, including myself, sammo, dav, marty, tess, shano, red (eric), beefus and ross. Half of us didnt like it, but i love kung fu hustle after seeing it in thailand at the cinemas. After that we went to starbucks and had some of their coffee and stuff, then we all just went home. Me tess and sammo went to davs for a bit before going back to our humble abodes.
Now i am very tired and i'm already thinking of excuses not to come to school tomorow. Well, see you all when i'm up and recovered, but it may be forever. Patients my friends, patience.

#song of the day - Fishbone- ugly# God, im turning into the biggest ska-fanatic ever, its great. I'm not sure if i like this band yet, but i'll soon get there. Soon i'm gonna buy a bowl hat and a checkered shirt and go out on the streets ska-style for all eternity. Ska all the way!!!

Stay cool as tuna.

(insert catchy sub-heading here)

Well hello and aloha,
Today was awesome. Just a whole day of slacking off and working on my favourite flash "revenge of the mexicans". I was hungry all day though, which made me tired, which made me cranky. Yeah today was weird. But when i got home something terrific sprung to mind: "HEY! Let's quit boxing training!" And i did, so i had a whole friday afternoon to myself. I bought a donut at some mitcham cafe, and them i bought nick cave and the bad seeds: b-sides and rareties". It has 3 disks of just unreleased and b-sided songs. Some of its just depressing, but some of it is just insanely happy and chappy. Yeah, i love that shit. My favourite songs at the moment from it are: "Deanna", "God's hotel", "Black Betty", "Rainy night in soho", and this bloody awesome song called "jack the ripper" which is the song i heard to make me buy this massive cd anthology.

Today my parents gave me some vital information. Lately i've been wondering about my ancestors, and for quite some time i've been saying i'm a lot of australian, an eighth greek, and a little bit irish and a very little bit aboriginal. Well i was wrong, i'm actually 0% aussie, becuz if your made up of all australian that means your aborogonal, and i aint that, so i'm actually mostly from the UK, and i'm also a 16th irish. WOW. Exciting, eh? Not really. Haha my step dad is half german, how scary is that, and i have no idea what country my dad is from so i've got a lot of history to dig up...

WEll, i was gonna write about my whole week, but guess what? I CANT REMEMBER ANYTHING!!! Yay. Anyway, i guess i'll just go listen to some nick cave, and you probably should too. GO TO IT.
Stay cool... or warm, whatevers best for this crap melbourne weather.

#song of the day - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - God's hotel#
Dont get sucked into thinking that this is another typical christian song, becuz when i heard it i was just like "hell yeah" without thinking about religeon, which i have no care for (sorry sandy!).
Anyway, give it a listen, and maybe you'll be a nick cave-head just like me.

Skankin' carpark blues

Aloha,
Well its been about three days since my last post i think. What was my last post... oh thats right, my list of must-have songs!!! Oh my god that list is pissing me off, becuz for the last few days i keep thinking "hey wait theres these other songs i forgot to add" and i forgot to put on a lot of my ska stuff on but i'm just gonna leave it be.
Well lets start from the start... sundya i went to DFO in the morning and NOT the one in nunawading or whatever. Anyway, i bought two shirts, a pair of jeans, a killer jacket with awesome patterns and a striped jumper thats really cool. It all costed about $140 which is pretty good i think. Then afterwards it was dd's birthday party and it was just an afternoon of BBQ, then a bit of playstaion 2, then we watched freddy got fingered then everyone just went home. A pretty even afternoon, not too boring and not too exciting, basically a chill-out party with friends who dont really chill. I cant remember the after-party i think i was just exhausted becuz DFO is so energetic to go to.

OK, then the next day was monday. Arrghhh i'd rather not talk about it, but this is a blog, i'm kinda meant to. Anyway, monday was the dreaded triple-science day. My form is probaably the only form to encounter such catastrophe. One of those three periods were gladly taken away becuz it was school essembly and we watched those new yorkers do that christian hip hop dance thing. It was pretty good, but i have a feeling that the message of christianity only got out to either christians or people who listen to hip hop. I was not in either of those catagories, so i was sitting there thinking "holy crap, alright dancing i guess, but when are they gonna play some misfits or something, shit!!!" But thats just me. They had voluntiers come up and dance for free tickets, and my chum beefo was one of them and he did a very awesome dance routinue including a very shifty handstand and a few merry-jigs. 11/10 my good friend.

Then there was today. It was pretty good, i talked to everyone about nothing and i spent lunch sitting in that indian leg-crossed thingymajig. Mrs Zylan came by and told me i should do yoga, and i was like "oh yes interesting" but my inner-jim (everyone has one) was sating "shut up you cow". I dont take kindly to english teaches, no i dont...
Lunchtime noone was around except tess and laura and miki and stuff, so i was stuck with stu and he stole my shoes. He put them high up in the trees and i tried climbing up to retrieve it but i slipped and landed with a branch inbetween my legs and my manhood hurt very much that day.
Ohhh lately my skin has been very mutated lately, it just gets more purple each day, but today it started going purple and orange. I was going to go to the nurse, but she'd just tell me to lie down until next period and i've heard that procedure one too many times.
Anyway, once again, you'd better stay cool folks. Aloha (it means hello AND goodbye).

>jim
#song of the mofo day - The Porkers - Jump around# The Porkers are an australian ska band which tim got me in to. I've got a lot of their live songs and this one is a ska cover of house of pain's 'jump around'. This was an irish rap song until these guys completely ska'd it. Its really cool, but it sorta goes into a different song after a minute of so. If you want to get into these guys, download 'skankin' carpark blues', 'too big for your boots' and 'keep my cool'. If you're just getting into ska, get into tokyo ska parade, mad caddies, the specials and less than jake (though a lot of their songs are just punk with little brass). Keep the ska spirit up folks, its counting on you.

The roots and the radicals

God what a crazy couple of weeks. The group just gets weirder and weirder. Firstly it was me and marty just at the back chillin, but now i dont know what's going on. everyone has seemed to mature over the last couple of days, its super awesome. Laura and ross have been going out, and then today i found out that shaun and tess are too, and same with elisha and michael. Wow we all used to be such freakin cave people, what happened?
Anyway things are going great at the moment, keep it up people. Its good to see everyone happy again. What else has happened... think jimmy think oh jeez i dont know i had coco pops for breakfast and it was really good until i had a phone call from the father, then after we stopped talking about nothing my coco pops had absorbed the milk and it tasted like crap.
Hmm what else... oh yeah i just caught the train home for once and then me and dav bought some LCMs and greasy chips and just played time crisis 2 all afternoon. Then on the walk home i just listened to rancid and then got home and talked to my dog and listened to more music.
Shit i just realised how much i listen to music, its crazy. Maybe i should go on a music-strike... or not.

Well i've run out of things to say. Maybe i should wait a little while before posting again. Ahhh i dunno just stay cool.
#song of the day - Jerry's Kids - break the mould#

I used to be a stereotype

Three days into the week and things are running smoothly. Yes, everyone is now back to normal again, and i'm enjoying it while it lasts!!!
Nothing has actually happened around the chill-area, recess it was just me standing around talking to random people, then at lunchtime me and beef were checking out the chill-factor of different areas. The two seats started at 8, then as people came by it got to a measly 2 (out of 10). Jesus christ tonight i told my mum i wanted the computer at 7:30 on the freakin dot, and she's all "ok i'll make sure of that" then at 7:30 she says that she wants another ten minutes to sort out some photos noone wants to look at then ten minutes later and stand next to the computer for a while but then shes like "ahhhh god james cant you be patient? i'm only twenty freakin minutes over, so fucking what???" And now shes pissed. I think its that flu going around, it drives people maaad...

Today i had photography and me and the group developed some awesome photos. It was pretty boring becuz we did absolutely nothing apart from shake some container for two periods, but still, some great results.
In my two glorious periods of english today i just went to the library for some relaxing and iPod time becuz our english teacher is away and our subs dont give a shit what we do, its brilliant.
Holy crap absolutely no-one is on msn after my battle to get on the computer. Thanks a lot people. I'm melting in my own boredom, and my last resort is to do some blogging. I know noone else has been, so why dont i.

Well thats about it, just more things to say about my boring days and boring nights, but after all, its what we live for.
Stay cool folks and stay tuned for another wacky adventure!!!

#song of the day - The Cure - 10:15 saturday night# This is now my favourite song and everyone should hear it. I've been getting into the cure sooo much lately. My poor cure cd is dusted from years of ignorance. I dont know what i was last listening to... probably the misfits or the descendants i dont know. Just dowload the fucking song, you'll love it.
