Flyin' to your heart (gitaroo man style)

WOAH! I have been banned from internet for like a week... my 'banning' started when my parents set a 'internet time limit' for every day, and, well, thats pretty lame becuz im a 'casual internet-er' but i went overboard on the limit and my mum's like "well, no more internet tonight" and i'm like "yeah fair enough". Then the next morning i wake up at about 10 am, and leave my room..and notice that my mum has taken the little internet box...i was like "what the hell is going on here"...then the parents get home later and im really angry with them, as i would be, and i ask why they did it. They go "well you had your second chance" and i say "no i didnt" and about 5 minutes from here my dad gets absolutely fucking furious and yells his head off...he was so furious that he almost hit me or sumthin, but he managed to control himself...my parents have a habit of being extremely angry over minor matters...i learn to live with it.

I think that was on friday/saturday, which then leads me to CHRISTMAS! I spent this at my grandma's where we played uno cards all night, then the next morning we unwrapped our prezzies. From my parents i got $30, chocolate and a fantastic four bouncy ball..which absolutely sucks, but its acceptable becuz they got me my bass for bday AND xmas. I got $50 and a t-shirt from grandparents, and more money from other rellies, and a RATM live dvd which is alright.
The next day was just a relaxing day, i just watched tv and looked at my stash of money drooling.

Then that arvo i call up Marty and tell him to come to Eastland for a day of shopping (i have a really bad money problem...when i have money, i have to spend it straight away, and nothing can get me out of this addiction...). And yeah, Marty's like "HELL YEAH IM IN" as usual, then i call up Eric and he answers the phone, panting...like he just finished running for hours, it was strange, then i call up Shauno and he's like "yeah i'll come" cuz hes so casual. And that night was horrible, i couldnt get any sleep and my chickens woke me up at 4 am, screeching and making horrible noises...ARGH THE PAIN they do that a lot lately.

Tuesday came, and i met up with the lads lunchtime, and we went to JB Hi-fi to go on a spree, and i gotta tell you, me and Marty should be ashamed...we both bought four albums, and i also bought a dvd. My buys consisted of:
-The Cure- kiss me kiss me kiss me (yesterday i exchanged this for Weezer's 'maladroit' album
-Nirvana- best of the box (a mix of tape recordings of Nirvana, very rare, very CRES)
-Ben Lee- hey you, yes you (old ben lee album, a great album to listen to in any mood, but very 'chillfull')
-Velvet Underground and Nico- self titled (this is a band from like the 70's and 80's, and i think some of the 60's, and they were inspirations to alternative music these days..well, one of the inspirations...this album was prodced by Andy Warhol, hes the greatest ideas-man ever, and its like early indie music...probably one of the best albums i own. Check out 'sunday morning' its great)
-Astro Boy disc 1- 5 episodes from the first season of Astro Boy from the 80's. It is the best, i love Astro Boy very much. Me and Eric went halvsies in it, but he hates Astro Boy, so yeah i dont get it...

And yeah, we spent the rest of the day searching shops and eating lunch, and thats about it, a really kewl day actually.

Then came Wednesday, which was Dav's picnic day. The night before i got an invite from Tess, short notice but i guess thats how the system works these days. I got Dav 10 bucks, and like EVERYONE was there, it was so good catching up with everyone. We headed down to the Ringwood Park and ate our Tiny Teddies, and the rest of the day consisted of going up the tower of terror, laughing at Lloyd's obvious comments, playing frisbie and footy, meeting up with people i havent seen in ages, like Sarah and Matt, good times, yes...
Then afterwards some of us left and went back to Dav's place for a SPLENDID movie night! We started it off with Me and Marty jamming it out on the crappy keyboard and out of tune guitar...we jammed out to 1 angry dwarf and 200 solemn faces which was pretty kewl, and we played 'Alright' but its the worst song to play out of tune. Then we couldnt play any of the same song together, so Eric sang to a few of Marty's tunes, which was so cool....i think we've decided to start a musical recipe together, im not sure...stay tuned for that one.
Then a few people left, and the remainders that were sleeping over consisted of me, Dav, Tess, Marty, Eric, Laura and Elisha. We watched Garden State which is the best movie i've seen for a long time, and its inspired me to buy a discman and good headphones thanks to Natalie Portman. Shes the greatest, i love The Shins now. We also watched a bunch of other movies that i didnt pay attention to....
That night was really good fun, just the few of us partying it out, with Laura staring at me and saying random quotes that are rather amusing, Dav being extremely happy about her bday (she was eccentric all night), Tess confusing me with her staring and miscellanious behaviour, Eric being a typical red, and Elisha just being asleep the whole bloody time. At about 5 in the morning i grabbed myself a turkey sandwhich which made me feel ill, then at like 6 am i got everyone to come for a walk with me, then in the morning we watched Narnia (the early tv series) until i decided to leave for home. I was convinced by Tess to stay for Scrubs, BUT IT DIDNT SHOW dammit, oh well i just went home to watch Astro Boy.
That day i spent being extremely bored.....nothing to say.

Then came today, where Omar came over for the day. His hair is massive these days, its pretty kewl and 'omarlicious'. We played PS2 and listened to his music which was alright, and then when i started to get extremely tired i made him watch Astro Boy and he hated it, then we drank chocolate milk which is rather addictive... that leaves me to NOW where i am no longer banned from internet.

My 'flavours of the week' have consisted of this:
-Velvet Underground and Nico. After hearing some of The Cure's shameful 'kiss me' album, this music is absolutely brilliant. I think everyone should check out this group. 'Sunday Morning' and 'Im waiting for the man' are the first two tracks, check them out if you have the time.
-Astro Boy. I've always loved this show, the new series, but it doesnt beat the 80's series.
-Garden State. The best movie i've seen for ages, and the best soundtrack i've heard for ages.
-Gitaroo Man. This is a game where you have to battle enemies with guitar solos. Its the best thing ever, and i downloaded every song. I am in love with this girl Kirah from it. She is a girl who wears a poncho, and is the coolest, just mentioning the name Kirah makes me feel happy...if your wondering, im not one of those nerds who obsess over anime girls..no way.
-Guitar. Yeah, the actual guitar. I have started properly learning chords and songs. I know a box set of chords, but hardly any songs. Download 'About a girl' by Nirvana. I can play the opening guitar bit.

Thats about it, CHRIST what a fucking massive post, but i guess now you're all updated about my life. New years is coming up, HAPPY NEW YEARS, and i'll be posting about that someday...see you all in 2006 (most of you).

#song of the day - The Shins - caring is creepy# I love this song so much, though i only heard it about half an hour ago..which is strange, song of the day should really be a song from one of my four albums i just bought. I would have put in 'sunday morning' but i decided to think outside the square, if you get what im ranting about.

The parade is here

Aloha fellow blog readers, how are you today? I am quite well. Its been a great few days, very great indeed, and i dont think ive posted since camp so here 'tis.
Saturday was andy's party, which was great, heaps of people turned up, even captain turned up, so yeah all in all a great night. No special events or dramas happened that night, but oh well...
The day after...what happened the day after? I dont know...i had to check the calender just then to see what day it is today...err well sunday must've been nothing, i really cant remember, but i know that on monday a group of us went to see harry potter. Me and Tess turned up early, we walked around all of forest hill until we came across Andy B, there was much rejoicing. We sat and talked for like an hour and we all got bored and Tess kept trying to cinfuse me the whole afternoon...
A bit later we met up with Rikki and Leigh, they were there for some stupid reason (i forget what it was) but yeah, there was more rejoicing. Soon after, Andy H and Mick turned up, then we went in to see the movie. It was great, especially when Mick's brother and his friends sat behind us and made pants jokes...through the whole movie. Good times...then after that i had to be dropped off at the station and i waited like half an hour in hunger and boredom for the train to arrive...

Then the next day was Tuesday, where a MASSIVE group of us went to maccas, i arrived early with Laura and she kept talking about owls, and then finally everyone showed up and we ate our maccas... myself, Shauno and Michael got an urge to go in the playground, and we did, and i challenged Michael to 'a game of wits' where we battled out on the kid's noughts and crosses thing. I won, of course...then Shauno arrived up the ladder out of nowhere and we were like "this is stupid" then i think some guy was looking for us cuz one of the little kids was knocked over...it wasnt us, but we hurried the fuck outta there...
Then after that, we went to get our reports and we checked what classes we're in. Im with like NO-ONE apart from andy, sam and fi in one class, and mick in the other class...still good, i guess.
I did shit on my report, a lot of D's and C's, but parents didnt seem to care...which is out of the ordinary, but oh well im lucky.
After we all grabbed our reports, we went down to the park for no reason, and just sat around and watched some of the lads throw themselves off the swingset....then when dd arrived, it was time for us (being me, dd, marty and eric) to go to my house for a sleepover. I called this night 'A bomberman and A Clockwork Orange' night for obvious reasons.

We arrived at my place very soon afterwards, and started the arvo by assembling the fan for the hot night to come (which, i guess, saved us from death by heat) and then we started on the games. We played a bit of bomberman 64, which was great, i owned the guys at that because i am bomberman king, then we started on a few others. We played some Ratchet and Clank, great multiplayer game, we played some Dead or Alive 2 which was awesome fun, we played HEAPS of bomberman hardball which is like the GOD of party games, and we also hired Silent Hill 4, which is a scary fuckin game but Eric and Marty already knew what was coming, but hey, its still good. We also watched 'A clockwork orange' which is one of my most favourite movies of all time. Me and Marty had already seen it before, but eric andd dd hadnt. Eric was shit-scared of this movie (SHAME ON YOU ERIC) but dd, being a sadistic twit, enjoyed every second of it. We ate pizza and shapes, but we were extremely low in food stock, but we all lived through it...i think we ended the night on Metal Gear Solid 2...i just sped throught he game, and then we all went to bed. The next morning i woke up at 9, watched simpsons for ages, played acoustic guitar for a bit, and then at like 10:30 everyone was awoken. Everyone soon left... great night, twas...

That leaves me to now, where i am just chillin' on the ol' computer, with Angry Beavers playing on the tv in the background. I just had my brunch (cup noodles) which was delish, and i feel more lazy then yestrday...oh well, xmas is coming up soon, which i will be spending at my Grandma's place up in Warragul. It should be great, because she spoils the hell outta me with gifts...enjoy your holidays people, stay cool,

#song of the day - a clockwork orange theme# i chose this song for obvious reasons. It rocks. And its off a clockwork orange. Need i say more? No.

You'd better run...to the city of refuge

{We discuss the murder plan, we discuss murder and the murder act, murder takes the wheel of your Cadillac and death climbs in the back, oh deanna}

Lyrics from Nick Cave and the bad seed's 'Deanna'. Its basically a song about Nick Cave and some girl named Deanna having sex and commiting crimes...you wouldnt know it unless you listened to the song a million times like i have...well, enough of that.

How are you this afternoon/morning? I am quite fine. Today is Friday and i was expected to go to the Vic Market excursion for the step-up programme, except i completely forgot to hand in my form two days ago so i didnt get to go...so i went home, and started the boredom. I played a bit of PS2 early in the mornin' which is always jolly good fun, and then i went off to watch a bit of telly...not exciting at all, but i did watch heaps of daria and spongebob and i watched good will hunting which is a great movie... tomorow is Andys christmas party (merry xmas all!) which should be bloody great, i've been looking foward to it for AAAAGES and its so close... it should be a great start to the holidays.

GOD i've been so bored, just listening to more and more nick cave, and this guy from mums work burnt me a nick cave album, except i already have it, and he also burnt me this album from Henry Rollins Band which is meant to be completely similar to Nick Caves music, except it isnt, it sounds more like The Vines. Dissapointed.....

I had to go to the step-up program this week, and fuck it was the most boring piece of shit ever. Days one and two were the tests for work expierience. I completed it all, except it was so mind-numbingly repeatitive that i felt like saying 'fuck it, im going to art college' but i didnt. At the end of the first two periods of day two, a group of us left to go to the park, which was great fun...seriously, it was!
Day three was Sports Day..woohoo....i stayed for about three periods where we played thunderhock and badminton, but near the end of period three i left and went to eastland to kill a few hours....i only stayed for an hour, then went home and went on the computer, being paranoid the whole time that dad would come home early.....
Day four was Maths day, and i actually didnt think we'd do work, but we did...well, we measured our height and left foot (i am 184 cms tall, WOOHOO) but we also did budget type stuff on the computers and all this other shit which SUCKED and i had to stay for all of it cuz they kept marking the rolls......therefore, no wagging...
And yeah this is day five where i turned up at school, met up with laura fi dd dav and sam and left after realising im an idiot for not having my permission slip handed in (yeah, i know i've already mentioned this).

In my spare time, i have been practicing a lot of the acoustic and electric guitar, and the ukelele. I've been playing these instruments for about a year now, just i never practiced them as much as i should...but PHEW i do now.

Stay coool,
>jimsy-flimsy (the flim)

p.s 'flim' is a word i made up, it means nothing, and it is completely pointless. Sentances you could use it in are: "Flim is a pointless word" or "What the hell is Flim?" Enjoy.

#song of the day - the sleepy jackson - old dirt farmer# this was meant to be song of the day ages ago. I listened to this song about 20 times at camp. I hummed this tune about 80 times at camp, i dont think anyone noticed. This song is great because it has great use of guitars, AND it has a choir at the end, and i loove choirs.

Hey man, now you're really living

{.."I think its dark and it looks like rain" you said. "And the wind is blowing like its the end of the world" you said. "And its so cold its like the cold is you were dead", and then you smiled for a second....}

This is the first verse you hear on The Cure's album, Disintegration. I just finished listening to it, and WAHOO i've finally found something that actually beats Paul's Boutique recorded by the Beastie Boys in '89. This album is one of the finest around, even Kyle from south park says "Disintegration is the best album ever" and i was like "yeah". The moment is now ruined because of my parents...they are playing wolfmother on the big stereo, repeating 'minds eye' over and over...it sickens me... while were on the topic, i bought another album today from The Eels (mellow indie band) and its 2-discs and its called "blinking lights and other revalations". Its pretty good, lots of songs, not as good as i thought it would be, but some really original tracks. Other than buying that cd, ive done nothing all day...

WELL WELL WELL i just got back from Queensland camp with my fellow year 9's, and what can i say...BEST CAMP EVER, yeah i think it was, it was absolutely marvellous.

DAY ONE
We leave for queensland, arrive around lunchtime, and we have an entire day to ourselves at the awesomo resort...went round to the shopping mall place, pimped around our appartment and played gamecube next door with mick andy and dd n stuff. Thats about it i think...

DAY TWO
The day we leave for Movieworld...we wake up fucking early and arrive there, start off with this 'group educational activity' thing, which was alright, marty and eric got up and did stuff, BRAVO BOYS. Then after that we went on all the rides n shit, me n reeko (eric) went on the lethal weapon a few times and it was fucking awesome, i want to live on that ride hehe.

DAY THREE
I think this is where we went to Wet n Wild......i forget the order of the theme parks, but for me this trip really sucked becuz there was about 15 different schools there and it was so packed, i hardly got to go on anything....grr.....other than that...nothing.

DAY FOUR
Seaworld day. This theme park was surprisingly...grand! The dolphin show was great, and the rides were excellent...best ride ever at this park, the corkscrew, my god that rocked, and i think i was sitting behind andy and rob when they kept yelling out "RICHEOUS!" and im like "urrghaejofgejhagoveahgpieah" ahh good times....i think at the end of this day, there was a party at the girls house which started off lame but got better at the end because andy read out me and tess's old 'ron and jimmy' adventure stories ehhehehe... i take my hat off to you tessa for starting off that marvelous series, i'll probably write another one someday...someday.......

DAY FIVE
WOOHOO DREAMWORLD DAY!!!!!!! This theme park was the best i reckon, its just so fun for everyone cuz theres a balanced amount of rides and shops...marty was so hip, he bought a spongebob t-shirt (which i wanted, but couldnt afford...) and he got a spongebob hat, and im like "TOURIST BE GONE" ohh memories, and the rides were awesome, i went on the claw which ROCKED and i went on this spinny thing with tessa and the guy controlling it was talking about the song 'yellow submarine' and we're like WOOHOO, and i also went on this ride with andy called the stingray and she got me so excited to go on it since the start of the week (its a kiddy ride) and ohh it was so cheesy, it made me feel like a child again.....good times, good times, i think everyone had a great day that day.... im sure there are some other major highlights from this day, cant remember them right now.....well, after that we went home by plane and i got home at 1 the next morning.....

And thats it, if anyone has some highlights that i forgot to mention, comment about it, PLEASE!!! So yes, it was a great camp, lotsa memories, soon i should have some photos from it which should be great.

>jimski
#song of the WEEK (yes, WEEK!)- Maxwell Murder- Rancid# When me and marty were listening to his iPod on the bus to the airport, we were listening to this song at one stage, and the jocks at the back of the bus started a chant, and everyone was clapping, and at one stage through the chorus of this song, the clapping of everyone on the bus was in time with the song! We were like JOYGASM and it was great......

He said, "Little Miss Mouse, will you marry me, way down yonder in the hollow tree, with an owl and a bat and a bumblebee?"

Surprisingly, the title lyrics are from Nick Cave....one of his 'happy moments', which is quite rare... anyway, this will be my last post before i get back from Queensland...we leave tomorow morning and im all packed, and i have scored a discman off marty so this will be great...aww yeah....

WELL 2 days ago we finished school, which felt AWESOME even though it didnt feel like the end of school but yeah...then YESTERDAY it was my birthday which was sweet, i woke up having my parents sing happy birthday, carrying into my room a new BRIGHT RED bass guitar, aww yeah!!! then i ate poached eggs for brekky, then it was off to the city with the lads, which consisted of myself, marty, eric, shauno and joel. We just went to heaps of shops all day, and ate lunch at the food complex thingy place, it was kewl...we went to minotaur which is always a blast, i bought myself a green lantern comic for like $3.80 which is fucking good as, then another shop we went to was ummmmmmmm oh yeah we went to EB games, but thats always a bore for me, but the best shop in the world is DRAGONFLY DISCS! Omg, all cds from 5- 15 bucks, and they have the BEST cds in the world, god i want to live there, i bought The Cure's 'disintegration' album which is brilliant, but i would have bought more if we had more time...then we had to go back to belgrave and meet up with dd, then we went back to the martyman's humble abode, and we stayed up till 4 or 5 in the morning (i was the first asleep) playing video games....we played a bit of marty's new bomberman game, me and dd both fell in love with it, then we played a bit of timesplitters (the new one) which was keewl, umm we played super smash bros for a little, and we played the most awesomest game ever which is project zero 2...oh god thats one creepy game, not exactly MAJORLY high on the scare meter, but it gave us frights in some parts... like when a ghost came crawling out of a box from the other end of a misty dark room, and the ghost crawled up to the main character and started killing her, and OH GOD that was awesome... so, yes i thank the marty for holding such an awesome sleepover, twas fun but im so fucking tired...

Well, what did i get for my bday....shit, heres the list: new bass, big day out ticket, comic + the cure cd, jb-hifi voucher, dvd (a series of unfortunate events, i dont like the movie that much...), book of boring history shit, 10 bucks from the dd, indie mix cd from marty, kylie minogues 'fever' from eric (its not the best of kylie, but it'll do...), aaaand thats it....pretty ordinary, im just hyped about my new bass becuz it is bright red and its awesome and i had to play infront of all my relatives today...urrghhh.

Thats about all i can write, so yes leave me comments,
>jim

#song of the day- kylie minogue- slow#
god i love kylie, need i say more?
