Flyin' to your heart (gitaroo man style)

WOAH! I have been banned from internet for like a week... my 'banning' started when my parents set a 'internet time limit' for every day, and, well, thats pretty lame becuz im a 'casual internet-er' but i went overboard on the limit and my mum's like "well, no more internet tonight" and i'm like "yeah fair enough". Then the next morning i wake up at about 10 am, and leave my room..and notice that my mum has taken the little internet box...i was like "what the hell is going on here"...then the parents get home later and im really angry with them, as i would be, and i ask why they did it. They go "well you had your second chance" and i say "no i didnt" and about 5 minutes from here my dad gets absolutely fucking furious and yells his head off...he was so furious that he almost hit me or sumthin, but he managed to control himself...my parents have a habit of being extremely angry over minor matters...i learn to live with it.

I think that was on friday/saturday, which then leads me to CHRISTMAS! I spent this at my grandma's where we played uno cards all night, then the next morning we unwrapped our prezzies. From my parents i got $30, chocolate and a fantastic four bouncy ball..which absolutely sucks, but its acceptable becuz they got me my bass for bday AND xmas. I got $50 and a t-shirt from grandparents, and more money from other rellies, and a RATM live dvd which is alright.
The next day was just a relaxing day, i just watched tv and looked at my stash of money drooling.

Then that arvo i call up Marty and tell him to come to Eastland for a day of shopping (i have a really bad money problem...when i have money, i have to spend it straight away, and nothing can get me out of this addiction...). And yeah, Marty's like "HELL YEAH IM IN" as usual, then i call up Eric and he answers the phone, panting...like he just finished running for hours, it was strange, then i call up Shauno and he's like "yeah i'll come" cuz hes so casual. And that night was horrible, i couldnt get any sleep and my chickens woke me up at 4 am, screeching and making horrible noises...ARGH THE PAIN they do that a lot lately.

Tuesday came, and i met up with the lads lunchtime, and we went to JB Hi-fi to go on a spree, and i gotta tell you, me and Marty should be ashamed...we both bought four albums, and i also bought a dvd. My buys consisted of:
-The Cure- kiss me kiss me kiss me (yesterday i exchanged this for Weezer's 'maladroit' album
-Nirvana- best of the box (a mix of tape recordings of Nirvana, very rare, very CRES)
-Ben Lee- hey you, yes you (old ben lee album, a great album to listen to in any mood, but very 'chillfull')
-Velvet Underground and Nico- self titled (this is a band from like the 70's and 80's, and i think some of the 60's, and they were inspirations to alternative music these days..well, one of the inspirations...this album was prodced by Andy Warhol, hes the greatest ideas-man ever, and its like early indie music...probably one of the best albums i own. Check out 'sunday morning' its great)
-Astro Boy disc 1- 5 episodes from the first season of Astro Boy from the 80's. It is the best, i love Astro Boy very much. Me and Eric went halvsies in it, but he hates Astro Boy, so yeah i dont get it...

And yeah, we spent the rest of the day searching shops and eating lunch, and thats about it, a really kewl day actually.

Then came Wednesday, which was Dav's picnic day. The night before i got an invite from Tess, short notice but i guess thats how the system works these days. I got Dav 10 bucks, and like EVERYONE was there, it was so good catching up with everyone. We headed down to the Ringwood Park and ate our Tiny Teddies, and the rest of the day consisted of going up the tower of terror, laughing at Lloyd's obvious comments, playing frisbie and footy, meeting up with people i havent seen in ages, like Sarah and Matt, good times, yes...
Then afterwards some of us left and went back to Dav's place for a SPLENDID movie night! We started it off with Me and Marty jamming it out on the crappy keyboard and out of tune guitar...we jammed out to 1 angry dwarf and 200 solemn faces which was pretty kewl, and we played 'Alright' but its the worst song to play out of tune. Then we couldnt play any of the same song together, so Eric sang to a few of Marty's tunes, which was so cool....i think we've decided to start a musical recipe together, im not sure...stay tuned for that one.
Then a few people left, and the remainders that were sleeping over consisted of me, Dav, Tess, Marty, Eric, Laura and Elisha. We watched Garden State which is the best movie i've seen for a long time, and its inspired me to buy a discman and good headphones thanks to Natalie Portman. Shes the greatest, i love The Shins now. We also watched a bunch of other movies that i didnt pay attention to....
That night was really good fun, just the few of us partying it out, with Laura staring at me and saying random quotes that are rather amusing, Dav being extremely happy about her bday (she was eccentric all night), Tess confusing me with her staring and miscellanious behaviour, Eric being a typical red, and Elisha just being asleep the whole bloody time. At about 5 in the morning i grabbed myself a turkey sandwhich which made me feel ill, then at like 6 am i got everyone to come for a walk with me, then in the morning we watched Narnia (the early tv series) until i decided to leave for home. I was convinced by Tess to stay for Scrubs, BUT IT DIDNT SHOW dammit, oh well i just went home to watch Astro Boy.
That day i spent being extremely bored.....nothing to say.

Then came today, where Omar came over for the day. His hair is massive these days, its pretty kewl and 'omarlicious'. We played PS2 and listened to his music which was alright, and then when i started to get extremely tired i made him watch Astro Boy and he hated it, then we drank chocolate milk which is rather addictive... that leaves me to NOW where i am no longer banned from internet.

My 'flavours of the week' have consisted of this:
-Velvet Underground and Nico. After hearing some of The Cure's shameful 'kiss me' album, this music is absolutely brilliant. I think everyone should check out this group. 'Sunday Morning' and 'Im waiting for the man' are the first two tracks, check them out if you have the time.
-Astro Boy. I've always loved this show, the new series, but it doesnt beat the 80's series.
-Garden State. The best movie i've seen for ages, and the best soundtrack i've heard for ages.
-Gitaroo Man. This is a game where you have to battle enemies with guitar solos. Its the best thing ever, and i downloaded every song. I am in love with this girl Kirah from it. She is a girl who wears a poncho, and is the coolest, just mentioning the name Kirah makes me feel happy...if your wondering, im not one of those nerds who obsess over anime girls..no way.
-Guitar. Yeah, the actual guitar. I have started properly learning chords and songs. I know a box set of chords, but hardly any songs. Download 'About a girl' by Nirvana. I can play the opening guitar bit.

Thats about it, CHRIST what a fucking massive post, but i guess now you're all updated about my life. New years is coming up, HAPPY NEW YEARS, and i'll be posting about that someday...see you all in 2006 (most of you).

#song of the day - The Shins - caring is creepy# I love this song so much, though i only heard it about half an hour ago..which is strange, song of the day should really be a song from one of my four albums i just bought. I would have put in 'sunday morning' but i decided to think outside the square, if you get what im ranting about.

Jamski sorry about the delayed comment...i just had to make sure i read your WHOLE post.
I agree about that whole Natalie Portman/Shins/Discman comment. In essence, she's the one that got me onto indie music, cos my bro gave me the garden state soundtrack once i watched it and that's like mint indie, which was candy to my eardrums, and i just had to embark down that joyful road of indie. So i did. End of chapter 1...

Yes it's been a good week, wednesday was swell, man that jam session with you/me/eric was brilliant, really inspirational. We have to get together as soon as possible.
Thats all i good. Terrific post.
