Saddle up me horsie and holster up me guns

TOP OF THE MORNIN'/ AFTERNOON TO YE'!
Yeah another post, shit. Well its only been a couple of days since my last post, but i really dont care im so tired and a tad bored sitting at home by myself. Jim says: "time to post, fuckers".

The day before yesterday (wednesday) was cres. Max came around to my place with his EXTREMELY out of tune new electric guitar. It took so long to tune. Fucking hell. Then we started jamming away, playing absolute bullshit and it kinda sucks because we dont have a drummer but its fun to be idiots anyway. Then after we had had enough of playing really gay punk songs, we recorded some really cheesy country songs with me on acoustic and Max on redneck vocals. They actually came out really good in my opinion, Johnny Cash eat your heart out. So yeah, we recorded a couple of country songs, then i swaped a acoustic for a bass and just made up chords on the bass while Max sung about how im a bass player and i practice a lot, then he starts singing about boobs for some reason. Really good fun. We call ourselves 'The Monosyllabcis', probably because of the first song we played which was a genious creation called 'The Fuck Song', where we just play and say fuck every so often. Fuck is one syllabol just incase you didnt get that. If you dont know what a monosyllabic is, im not bothered explaining.

So he went home and i had a headache, end of story.

Then caaaaaame (drum roll) TA-DA fi's surprise party at julias! Woohoo. I was one of the last to arrive due to the strong winds and rain and everything. And then to my surprise, ALAN WAS THERE! Holy fuck, i finally met the guy and he's a legend, though i already sorta knew him before he left...but oh well. I started drinking straight away, but unfortunantly after about half an hour or so, i was all out. I was a lil' drunk for a bit, then 100% sobered up soon afterwards. I hate you scotch. Scotch is not my friend anymore. Until next time. Then there was the 'to-be-expected' mingling that goes on for ages, i did random trips down to the milkbar with everyone, and also talking about Beastie Boys with Matt took up a lot of the night lol. It got late, people had to leave, but some stayed the night at Julias including me.
We didnt get a single ounce of sleep. Thats why right now i am tired as all hell. But we went with Alan to his home to say goodbye for his leaving, and also Shaun and a few others got up to a few hooligan acts which were extremely amusing, i forget what they did, SHAUN you have to post about the party. GO SHAUNO.

And yeah, this morning it was just us guys throwing socks at the fan, and listening to Mick and Ross prank calling people with funny surnames in the residential white pages. Haha Assfire....oh yeah and Ross called up Seth's house haha, all we could hear were kids screaming n shit. Good times...then we headed down to maccas (me, mick, ross, scott) grabbed some hardcore brekky and made our ways home by train. And here i am now. Im tired, and i blogged for my blog fans. Oh yeah. Anyway, i should have a few photos to put on my blog soonish if that crazy little Andy B ever uploads them.

#song of the day - The Descendants - suburban home# This is like...ah god, like my favourite punk song. Such a golden song, GOLD I SAY, man im tired, with the questions and the answers and i really cant be bothered.

Thats me, on the beachside covered in sand, metal meter in my hand

Yeah this is another short post. If your wondering why i've been so lazy...i really dont know why, but i give you the ###OFFICIAL JIM PROMISE### that i will post a long post in a few days.

I just thought everyone should know, i keep thinking about a dream i had a little while back. In my dream, i had recorded a solo album. It was called 'The Fly' and it had a picture of a fly on the front. And people didnt call me "Jim", or "DJ Jim", no. They called me 'The Fly'. This album had no songs on it. This dream has a message in there somewhere, yet i am utterly confused, HELP ME.

Today i got back from DD's place which consister of Excel Saga (top shit haha i love it), random music on the computer, Timesplitters 1 and 2 (in 2 we went back to the ol' school days and did the 'implode the flame victim on the bridge in aztec' thing. you have to be an ol' school timesplitters fan to understand), we also played some Soul Calibur 2 which consisted of yoshimitsu sounding like a british queer, and yeah more anime. Thanks to dd, i now own FF7 and i now have Perfect Blue which is meant to be some hardcore psychological anime shit. Aww yeah. Sorry bout the shortness, i absolutley promise to have a big post in soon.

Ciao,

AARGGHHH

So, im bored right? So what do i do? I go on msn. Then me and Shauno start talking about how bored we are. Ok, thats a sign. A sign thats telling me to post.

Well, yesterday was spent at Davs place. She took hold of my Gitaroo Man while i used her computer all day. Thats about it, except she did almost beat the game, except the last level which is impossible. I am still Gitaroo Man.

Today i spent the day with Tessa in the city, and we basically did nothing. She was gonna get a livestrong, but they were out, so i had lunch then we came back to eastland to see Cheaper by the dozen 2 with Shauno. It was crap apart from this retarded family you got to see for like a split second, they were like "OUEGFPOWHPIHG". Funny. And yeah, thats it, we came home and it was HOT ALL DAY ARGHGHJGJGKLB.

This post was really short, but stuff u im not bothered posting massive.

Over and out.

NO SONG OF THE DAY

Wednesday, January 18, 2006

Oh we're so pretty, oh so pretty, we're vacant

Guess what, im posting. Because im OH SO VERY BORED. Well i just got back from Dav's place which was a Seinfeld marathon. It was just the three of us, Me Dav and Tess like the old days, good times...we watched about 4 hours of seinfeld, i ate all the junk food, then we went home. Dav yelled a lot and Tess put skittles in my soup. A very, VERY eventful day. Very.

Two days ago in the afternoon i arrived at Joels for a splendid all-nighter. The part-ey consisted of me, Joel, Shauno, Eric, and DD. WE didnt get a single ounce of sleep, and we played a SHITLOAD of eyetoy and, err, some intense Halo2. We decided to sprint around the oval near the school twice. Once at about midnight, and once at about 5:00am. Thats probably why ive been sick and tired lately, not to mention the strange sleeping and eating patterns ive been having. But yeah, that was a good night, we left at about 9 am to go home and shower, then went to Eastland at about lunchish. Roamed the stores, me and eric bought a Gad Guard anime boxset, except we have to return it becuz theres only one dvd (and theres only meant to be one)...fuck! And yeah, i left to go home and sleep and the others continued on to watch a movie...The Producers i think. I went home, watched Gad Guard, feel asleep during the end of episode two. Thats a great series...

Other than my eventful outings, ive been sitting at home reading crappy comics and listening to the Sex Pistols...oh, and bashing the strings away on my new guitar. I learnt Muse's 'hysteria' completely on bass, its such a good bass song. So fast....nothing much to say in this post......im sooo not looking foward to failing year 10, im too young to die.....anyway, LEAVE COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEEEAVE COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And i'd danced like the king of the eyesores

I managed to crawl out of bed and start a fresh post, just for YOU. Be thankful. I think its been over a week since my last post, and there is a reason for that. 1) i have had a few days of doing absolutely nothing other than sleeping in bed all day and 2) i decided to wait until i have expierienced Sarah's costume party and the grand sleepover last night.

My memory is a blank right about now, due to the fact that i have been asleep quite a lot lately. A few days ago (cant remember which one) i went to Dav's abode for an ENTIRE day of Gitaroo Man on PS2. That game is extremely dangerously addictive. Dav had a lot of practice at the game while i took advantage of her internet, but i am STILL the Gitaroo Man King. Its really cool because its Japanese and all the songs are done by Japanese bands and they are REEEALLY good. Then after a while, Dav just stands up and says "Ok, lets go and buy some discmans." So in about 20 minutes time, we found ourselves in Myer purchasing two discmans. A really strange and random thing to do, but hey, i scored a discman. I'll pay you back soon Dav.

Past this day, i have no idea what has happened. I apologize. If i've left anything out, do comment and let me know, and i will put it back into this post as if i never forgot anything. But two nights ago was Sarah and Meg's birthday party (i dont know Meg) which was good! Especially because of the fact that i didnt know a single person there apart from Sarah, Elisha and Lucy. There was heaps of strangers there, dont know how many...
The party started at about 5, i arrived with my Scream mask, but i hardly wore it all night. After a while, we started playing some ol' school games, like Egg and Spoon race, and pass the parcel. Egg and Spoon race was good fun, i was winning until i was an idiot and started running. Anyway, the start of the party was a bit awkward because i was scared of all these fresh people, though Jake (Sarah's bf) talked to me heaps. But later on, everyone was sitting with me and making conversation and it was great. So yeah, thanks for a great part-ey Sarah!

Then the next day, i wake up and get ready for a splendid night at Marty's place. I apologize to DD who i made plans with to come over to his place that day, but i completely forgot it was on a Wednesday...but anyway, i caught up with Shaun on the train towards Belgrave, noticing Eric was at the other end of the train. So we had to move up carridges at every station, then we saw Eric in the opposite carridge. We waved to him and stuff for ages, but it seemed like he didnt notice us (though he did) then all of the sudden, a few gangsta lookin fellows saw Shaun waving, and gave him the finger. Then at the next station, the gangsta lookin fellows moved into our carridge...we were like "holy shit", but eventually we went to Erics carridge and made a safe trip to Belgrave where we met up with 'the host', Marty.

We arrived at his place after a long walk (as usual) and started the arvo/night. Our complete selevtion of games for the night consisted of: Eyetoy 3 (best party game ever). This game is quite violent...i spun around so fast on the discus game that i crashed into the tv, and Marty kicked Shaun in the face at one stage. But there were some friendly games, like bowling and random photo shoots...good fun. The others consisted of some hardcore multiplayer on Timesplitters FP, Gitaroo Man, Bomberman Hardball (a very intense game of golf, 9 holes....veeery intense) and watching watching Marty own a few bandits on 'Gun', and probably a few others that i cant remember. I fell asleep during Playboy Mansion because i got bored of the 'throwing a party' thing haha oh well. We ate hawaiian pizza which was taaasty, and we feasted on some lolly snakes later on. I think we devoured Martys soft drink, but atleast we were fed well...unlike the night at my place haha. I was the first to fall asleep last night (or, err, early this morning) and i missed out on some Project Zero 2, but ah well...then i woke at 5 am, freezing and aching of back pains. I didnt even want to fall asleep at all, but i did. So i waited for HOURS and HOURS for everyone else to wake up, but i managed to survive boredom with my discman, hurrah. Then we all got activated, had breakfast, played more Timesplitters then went home.

And here i am now, sitting at the computer, listening to Dads really crappy glam-rock in the background and squinting because i have a minor headache, and im tired. OOPS i almost forgot, i got a new acoustic guitar (just thought you should know), anyway, this post was a bit overdue heh but i guess ive been enjoying my holidays too much. So, i guess its time for a...NEW flavours of the week!

Flavours of the week
-Guitar. Been playing more guitar than bass lately. Learnt heapsa chords, i can sorta play 'New slang' by the Shins, and im learning a ton of other songs. Cool fun.
-My new discman. God, i feel so hip with a discman. Its good to stand out of the Mp3 crowd.
-Myspace. Everyone knows it. I just love it, cuz you meet strangers, make friends with them, its just the best way to kill time.
-Eyetoy 3. This was just such a hit at Martys that it HAS to be a flavour of the week. Cheers Shauno for taking it off your sister to bring to Martys.
-Being forgetful and sleepy. I mean, its not good to be forgetting everything, but hey, atleast im completely relaxed these hollies. 'Tis good.

Thats all i got, im so tired right now.
>jim

#song of the week - The Shins - new slang# Great, great, great song...off Garden State. One of those songs you just sit there and appreciate. Enjoy it.

Can't hear the song until you dance, we run with scissors in my hands

Gah what a noisy house. Parents keep talking really loudly, it gets hard to start off a fresh post...give me a sec, i'll stick on some headphones and listen to the ol' Ben Lee (note the lyrics in my title)...ahh thats mucho better. The album 'Hey you. Yes you.' is a great one...you gotta have some Ben Lee in your collection, no matter what your music taste is. This one starts off with bongos, goes into a sorta riffy tune, awesome lyrics aswell. While im on the subject of Ben Lee, i think 'Running with scissors', 'Something borrowed something blue', 'Dirty Mind' and 'Shine' are the best songs. I love noting down my fave tracks on internet, haha makes me feel like im fully appreciating the artist, its good.
My next cd's on 'the list to buy' (a very important, VERY essential scrap piece of paper behind my stereo) are these: 'The essential Louie Armstrong', 'Coldplay: X&Y', and 'The Original Seeds vol 1 and 2'. Original Seeds is two discs for 15 bucks including all old and modern songs that inspired Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It'd be pretty interesting to hear, to hear the original 'City of Refuge' (an all-time favourite of mine) and to hear some of the influential Johnny Cash, aha yeeeah.

Well lets get straight to the recent events. True, its only been a few days since the last post, but the last post sucked so heres a better one. Yesterday was a small gathering consisting of myself, Shaun, Andy B and Steph. We just went out for a quick lunch outting to Eastland (*sigh* again...), but it was good because i wanted to get out of the house, same with Andy. I sorta organised it with her i think...so we all rock up at Blacky station, head off to Eastland and we all grab different meals, enjoy them, then i think we just went to different shops. Good ol' Shauno is always great fun at outtings, ruining all the shops and such. Then after that we had to get back to Blackburn, so we headed back there by train.

We arrived, Steph had to go off to work, meanwhile me, Shauno and Andy were at the square, when eventually, Shauno decided for us all to go visit Steph working. Ohh it was good, almost got her fired he did. We bought these fizzy drinks and Shaun and Andy were throwing them around n shit, and then they're like "Ok, lets drink them now" and then they give ME the one that was shook up the most...got it all over my jeans, thanks guys haha. Then we went over to the school for a bit of 'memory time'. We sat at the groups usual chillout/gathering/hoodlum place. I think we were there for like three hours or something, just talking, it was pretty good telling stories and hearing stories about Alan and about stuff that happened when i wasnt existing.
Then it got a bit late, Shaun had to leave, i walked to the station with Andy and we talked about heaps of stuff, i think its called a 'd&m' yeah thats the one, well it was good, and then i had to leave to go home. I cant remember what i did when i got home, i think i was watching Astro Boy again...that'd be bloody right.

I think on Monday i started organising with Marty another 'guys day out' seeing as though me, Marty and Shaun were and are the only ones here, to my knowledge. Everyones out sort of holidaying. So yeah, the trip was organised for the three of us to go to Knox for the day, and i think Shaun got all the details late this moro haha.
Me and Shauno met up with Marty at Upper Ferntree Gully, then we made our way to Knox on the bus. A safe trip i must admit. We arrived, i think the first thing we did was grab some good ol' fashioned greasy goodness. I grabbed a Big Mac Meal (i've had this meal like every day for the past four days, im a bit sick of it now), Marty grabbed some salad thing and Shaun grabbed some crappy Hungry Jacks meal.

After a hard earned lunch, we went to all the great shops. We went to the splendid video game places, checked out the old school games, i was drooling the whole time at all the N64 games n stuff, and then i saw an old Sega console for 50 bucks...i want it, i used to have a Sega, with like the original Sega games and everything, but i have no idea what happened to the thing...oh well.
Then we went to JB hi-fi which was good, but pure torture because i have made rules for myself. I cant buy anything for a long time, due to me almost blowing all my money in one day, STOOPID. So yeah, i couldnt buy anything or else i would have been pov for the rest of holidays. I need a job....Marty bought the lost in translation soundtrack, i havent seen that movie yet, its on my list...and Shaun bought OC mix vol4, thats a good one cuz its got The Eels on it, ohh yeah. Then we went to the pet store, looked at the zombie kittens, made fun of the epileptic puppies, then made our move home. We cought the bus to the station, and there were these fuckers talking to Shaun, god i hate jocks. We eventually made it home safely. A great day it was, ohh yeah and Marty showed me this cool book, '1001 movies you must see before you die' i was like drooling over the A Clockwork Orange page haha.

Well thats it, all in all a great couple of days, but OH GOD me and Marty have been planning (sort of) a night consisting of Singstar 80's, that Dancemat game, Eyetoy and Gitaroo Man haha yes! That will be bloody great if it ever happens. Oh well, in the distant future im going to Elishas party, Sarah's costume party (im going as the Scream haha) and Erichs party which i am definantly not going to...pfft haha no no no way. Anyway, my last post was recent so i wont do a 'Flavours of the week' but i will say one flavour of the past few days is 'Chilling'. I always chill, but this type of chilling (note- chilling casually type 'o4') consists of me lying on my bed listening to either Ben Lee, The Sleepy Jackson or The Cure...and sometimes, i even fall asleep becuz i am so calm and relaxed. This is great, been doing it a lot lately, i know ive fallen asleep from avo till the morning the next day listening to Ben Lee, Sleepy Jackson, and last night i fell calmy asleep listening to Nick Cave. Its the best feeling ever....try it....unless your a Slayer fan.

Well, adios amigos, i hope you all had a good, err, couple of days, and remember, live life to the fullest, i mean, why wouldnt you?
>jim

#song of the day - Ben Lee - Shine# Im listening to this RIGHT NOW. And i decided to make a note of it. There ya go. Its a calm song, if ur into calm songs, just get this. Im not bothered convincing you to get it.

Shake it to the right, shake it to the left

God i love Parappa the Rappa. Its sucha good game. The above lyrics are from the Parappa song, "Chop Chop Master Onion's Rap". Anyway.

Today i am quite well, no plans at all which is rather bland but im not bothered getting out of the house. Last weekend was THE NEW YEARS woohoo, where i spent the night at Julias party. I wasnt able to supply alchohol becuz my parents know exactly how much they have lying around the house, so i was like "shit". I had to watch everyone else get wasted...though it was bloody funny stuff...i think me and Dav and Andy H were the only sobers. It was so shit....next new years i promise to get twice as drunk as i should to make up for it i promise. The night was continuously ruined by the guys having to hide from Julias dad about 3 times, and when the Jocks came round to trash the house. When we had to hide, i was always with Andy H and Michael, and everytime we sprinted down the road and hid in the retirement place, sitting and talking about how pissed everyone is. I have to say, that was one of the worst new years i have had.....but thats only becuz the drunk people only talked to the drunk people...ah well.

The next morning we all went down to Maccas leaving Julia behind with a fairly messy house, and the sight of maccas made me ill...i was already ill becuz the only thing i had eaten all night was scrambled eggs...very sick indeed. Then some left, and some went to the station. I waited with Dav for a while, was very tired, then went home and went to sleep from like 2 pm till 6 pm, then from 8 pm till late the next morning. I slept through my entire Sleepy Jackson album.

Then yesterday i went with Ross, Julia, Hannah and Elisha to see Legend of Zorro. Shaun was meant to come but he wasnt up for it, which kinda made my day shit, especially when Zorro is one of the worst movies i've seen ever. I basically just went with them all, saw the movie and came home...waste of 11 bucks i think. But the holidays will get a lot better im guessing, so im looking foward to further plans... hopefully me and Marty will have a jam session, and theres a couple of splendid part-eys coming, WOOOO!

That was an extremely boring post, i apologize, but the last few days have sucked...but hey i just finished watching Vampire Hunter D which was awesome-cool, and now im listening to Parappa the Rappa music which is so awesome... i suggest you all download the songs 'Romantic Love' and 'Chop Chop Master Onion', you'll see what i mean. Its so cheesy that you have to love it.
OH i almost forgot, i bought Supergrass is 10 (recommended by Marty) which i got for $15. The obvious favourites on this are 'Alright', 'Moving', 'Mansize Rooster', 'Mary', 'Going out' and 'Grace'. A top buy. I might as well put in my flavours of the week, though it hasnt been a week..oh well. here 'tis:

Flavours of the week:
-Parappa the Rappa. I only put this in, just incase you skipped my post above and went straight to this. This game is 'the shit'.
-Supergrass. It took me a while to properly get into this band, but i just needed to buy Supergrass is 10 to get the whole 'Supergrass Expierience'. I have it now, and i have to thank Marty for gettin me into em. Bravo.
-Em chord, G chord. Learn this, and you've achieved playing About a Girl by Nirvana.
-Change of habits. Lately, for no reason at all, ive begun sleeping the opposite way on my bed (head where my feet should be). I have been getting to sleep a lot easier. I"ll note this down in my Phsyciatric Behaviour book (if i had one).
-Spiderman. I bought a mint condish 1989 spidey comic the other day, my first spidey comic, its top shit. 8 bucks though....

Thats about it, stay tuned y'all,
>jimski

#song of the day - Supergrass - Going out# A top song for people in good moods. It really lifts ya spirit. Below is a pic of my fave indie band, The Sleepy Jackson.
