Can't hear the song until you dance, we run with scissors in my hands

Gah what a noisy house. Parents keep talking really loudly, it gets hard to start off a fresh post...give me a sec, i'll stick on some headphones and listen to the ol' Ben Lee (note the lyrics in my title)...ahh thats mucho better. The album 'Hey you. Yes you.' is a great one...you gotta have some Ben Lee in your collection, no matter what your music taste is. This one starts off with bongos, goes into a sorta riffy tune, awesome lyrics aswell. While im on the subject of Ben Lee, i think 'Running with scissors', 'Something borrowed something blue', 'Dirty Mind' and 'Shine' are the best songs. I love noting down my fave tracks on internet, haha makes me feel like im fully appreciating the artist, its good.
My next cd's on 'the list to buy' (a very important, VERY essential scrap piece of paper behind my stereo) are these: 'The essential Louie Armstrong', 'Coldplay: X&Y', and 'The Original Seeds vol 1 and 2'. Original Seeds is two discs for 15 bucks including all old and modern songs that inspired Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It'd be pretty interesting to hear, to hear the original 'City of Refuge' (an all-time favourite of mine) and to hear some of the influential Johnny Cash, aha yeeeah.

Well lets get straight to the recent events. True, its only been a few days since the last post, but the last post sucked so heres a better one. Yesterday was a small gathering consisting of myself, Shaun, Andy B and Steph. We just went out for a quick lunch outting to Eastland (*sigh* again...), but it was good because i wanted to get out of the house, same with Andy. I sorta organised it with her i think...so we all rock up at Blacky station, head off to Eastland and we all grab different meals, enjoy them, then i think we just went to different shops. Good ol' Shauno is always great fun at outtings, ruining all the shops and such. Then after that we had to get back to Blackburn, so we headed back there by train.

We arrived, Steph had to go off to work, meanwhile me, Shauno and Andy were at the square, when eventually, Shauno decided for us all to go visit Steph working. Ohh it was good, almost got her fired he did. We bought these fizzy drinks and Shaun and Andy were throwing them around n shit, and then they're like "Ok, lets drink them now" and then they give ME the one that was shook up the most...got it all over my jeans, thanks guys haha. Then we went over to the school for a bit of 'memory time'. We sat at the groups usual chillout/gathering/hoodlum place. I think we were there for like three hours or something, just talking, it was pretty good telling stories and hearing stories about Alan and about stuff that happened when i wasnt existing.
Then it got a bit late, Shaun had to leave, i walked to the station with Andy and we talked about heaps of stuff, i think its called a 'd&m' yeah thats the one, well it was good, and then i had to leave to go home. I cant remember what i did when i got home, i think i was watching Astro Boy again...that'd be bloody right.

I think on Monday i started organising with Marty another 'guys day out' seeing as though me, Marty and Shaun were and are the only ones here, to my knowledge. Everyones out sort of holidaying. So yeah, the trip was organised for the three of us to go to Knox for the day, and i think Shaun got all the details late this moro haha.
Me and Shauno met up with Marty at Upper Ferntree Gully, then we made our way to Knox on the bus. A safe trip i must admit. We arrived, i think the first thing we did was grab some good ol' fashioned greasy goodness. I grabbed a Big Mac Meal (i've had this meal like every day for the past four days, im a bit sick of it now), Marty grabbed some salad thing and Shaun grabbed some crappy Hungry Jacks meal.

After a hard earned lunch, we went to all the great shops. We went to the splendid video game places, checked out the old school games, i was drooling the whole time at all the N64 games n stuff, and then i saw an old Sega console for 50 bucks...i want it, i used to have a Sega, with like the original Sega games and everything, but i have no idea what happened to the thing...oh well.
Then we went to JB hi-fi which was good, but pure torture because i have made rules for myself. I cant buy anything for a long time, due to me almost blowing all my money in one day, STOOPID. So yeah, i couldnt buy anything or else i would have been pov for the rest of holidays. I need a job....Marty bought the lost in translation soundtrack, i havent seen that movie yet, its on my list...and Shaun bought OC mix vol4, thats a good one cuz its got The Eels on it, ohh yeah. Then we went to the pet store, looked at the zombie kittens, made fun of the epileptic puppies, then made our move home. We cought the bus to the station, and there were these fuckers talking to Shaun, god i hate jocks. We eventually made it home safely. A great day it was, ohh yeah and Marty showed me this cool book, '1001 movies you must see before you die' i was like drooling over the A Clockwork Orange page haha.

Well thats it, all in all a great couple of days, but OH GOD me and Marty have been planning (sort of) a night consisting of Singstar 80's, that Dancemat game, Eyetoy and Gitaroo Man haha yes! That will be bloody great if it ever happens. Oh well, in the distant future im going to Elishas party, Sarah's costume party (im going as the Scream haha) and Erichs party which i am definantly not going to...pfft haha no no no way. Anyway, my last post was recent so i wont do a 'Flavours of the week' but i will say one flavour of the past few days is 'Chilling'. I always chill, but this type of chilling (note- chilling casually type 'o4') consists of me lying on my bed listening to either Ben Lee, The Sleepy Jackson or The Cure...and sometimes, i even fall asleep becuz i am so calm and relaxed. This is great, been doing it a lot lately, i know ive fallen asleep from avo till the morning the next day listening to Ben Lee, Sleepy Jackson, and last night i fell calmy asleep listening to Nick Cave. Its the best feeling ever....try it....unless your a Slayer fan.

Well, adios amigos, i hope you all had a good, err, couple of days, and remember, live life to the fullest, i mean, why wouldnt you?
