*sounds of the crowd aplauding to the entrance of Pyramid Head*
Okay, i really wanna watch some anime, so ill keep this short.
Just got back from MANIFEST 2006. What a freakin' cres experience. It was packet full of anime fanatics, and a large majority of the fanatics were dressed up as characters from anime series/movies and video games. There was some really good costumes, like Cloud (freakin cool sword), Link, Sailor Moon...we saw Luke there (not Luke Simms, but the Luke that lives at Dav's house) and he was dressed up as someone. But there was just loads and loads and LOADS of other sweet (and sometimes skimpy) costumes.
But most importantly, for the 'cosplay', someone dressed up as....PYRAMID HEAD. Fuck yes!
Man, the moment they announced him on stage, i almost had a heart attack. People cheered like lunatics. One of the happiest moments in my life.
Yes, Manifest is pure insanity. The memories will be forever remembered.
Manifest was also packed with cool stuff to buy, like figurines and cheap manga, etc, and i ended up buying the complete collection of Galaxy Angel, volume 2 of R.O.D the TV and a Boo figurine from Super Mario. The other guys (Marty, DD, Rico, Kai, William) bought other cool shit too. They had a room for Dance Dance Revolution matches, a huge room just for video game tournaments, and various theatres for anime series viewings. Arghh, the excitement still lives on......
Okay, i have finished my Manifest rant, although i really could keep writing more and more.
Other holiday occasions so far:
-Hung out with Rosie and Marty in the city. Went to state library and shops, had some coffee, and overall had a really cool day.
-The lads went to the city for shop browsing and purchasing. I saw Silent Hill at the movies for the first time (argh, so good) and Marty joined me because he just...wanted more, i guess. I dont blame him. Then after that, we all went back to Martys place, ate heaps of junk food, played a bit of Timesplitters, then got into some Tomb Raider and Lego Star Wars before we got too tired.
-The next day, Joel's neighbours place. Yes, Joel got his neighbours place free again, so the lads (plus Stuart and Joel) all rocked up and played iToy and Timesplitters, with a bit of poker, and lets not forget the drinking. Only Marty, Shauno, DD and myself got drunk, but i was too tired and sick to do anything interesting, so the other guys seemed to make the night fun. I cant remember too much of what happened, but we danced to Daft Punk again and... other things.
Shit, theres probably a few hilarious and memorable events ive missed out, so i do apologize, but i really wanna watch some Galaxy Angel, right now. Soooo...if ive missed out something, either blog it or comment it. Keep having a good holidays,
>Jim
