There's more to life than this
For a second i gave up on this blog, the obvious reason being the lack of interest by my old fans, but i think this blog will just turn into a...self-satisfactory thing, free for anyone else to read over. Marty seems to be the constant and now the only reader, cheers heaps you son of a gun.
Well, it seems a lot of events has happened since my last post. The problem is: i can hardly remember what i did a couple of days ago, let alone weeks ago. So i'll just post about the 'recent' news.
Last weekend.
Hung out with Chris, Mick and Omar. We met up at Eastland (me being a bit late) and went straight into Hoyts to see Saw 3. The second grousome scene made me feel EXTREMELY ill to be honest. I went in expecting it to be sort of the same as the first Saw movie, but it wasnt, and it came as a shock. I actually starting sweating and shaking, and i left the cinema to wash my face and buy some water.
Some other guy who was about 20 years old also left the movie. He said to me "this movie is just...too much" and i was relieved to find i wasnt the only one and said "YES, i just couldnt take it...i actually felt sick..." and he nodded his head in agreement. I said "im gonna go grab some water, i might see ya back in there" and he laughed and said "catch ya later" or something like that.
I went back in, and the rest of the movie was fine, although it was still really grousome. I just had a bad start. Good movie =]
Anyways, after that, we chilled outside for a bit making jokes about Omar's mum, Mick and Chris smoking like fools. We got bored, and caught a bus to Blackburn to go to Mick's house.
We arrived, grabbed a basketball, and left to go to our school.
We mucked around a bit with the basketball on the court, playing a few games, and then i just remember us all deciding to play a game of "Strip Basketball". Just like Strip Poker, only with basketball, you should know what im talking about.
Anyways, i was on Chris's team, Mick went with Omar. Items of clothing kept dissapearing rapidly, starting off with shoes and socks, drawing closer to belts and pants. I was the only one to be stripped down to only boxers, then we stopped playing. Many people in cars and walking past saw me playing some B-Ball in my boxers, oh the fun times we have.
Chris bought whipped cream and cookie dough, so we were eating that. Chris put whipped cream on his nipples then ate it, that image will be burned into my mind forever.
Anyways, after Strip Basketball, me and Omar caught a bus home, and that was it.
School.
Okay, well Year 10 is nearly over, and everyone seems to be accepting the concept of our future. Stressing about 'careers' is pretty common amongst everyone, and exams (which are this week) appear to be another thing to whinge and whine about. As much as i dislike the stress that even the teachers purposely put on us, i'm going to try my hardest.
The joyful 'group' as we once know it has pretty much been cut into two by the large tension knife. Everyone claims that they "dont know why", but honestly, i "dont really care". It might just be a temporary thing, or maybe we're just adapting to our own little groups of friends that we're most comfortable with. It doesnt stress me, its interesting though.
While everyone was also at their social peak, it seems one thing has stopped it. "World of Warcraft". I didnt think such a stupid game could have such a large impact on...well, everyone. It's turned Eric into some antisocial hermit, and i dont see what the big deal is. Oh, while im on the topic, people have also been obsessing over Techno and Dance music, listening to the same songs and acting all 'clubXcore'. I'm not saying it 'IS' lame, i just 'THINK' its FUCKING LAME AS.
School itself has just consisted of studying. Study study study. Preperation preperation preperation. Classes are easy, yet boring, theres nothing more i can say. Shauno is going out with Nim too, just thought id mention it too because...im happy for him and shit.
Let met just say, amongst everything thats happened, nothing has managed to disband the lads at all. Quote: "Viva la Lads" - Marty.
This weekend.
Parents: We're gonna leave home on Friday, and come back late Sunday, k?
Me: Oh okay. Where are you going then?
Parents: We're going to the beach. Don't forget to feed the chickens and stuff.
Me: Oh okay, see you in a few days.
*parents leave*
So i've been home alone for days, looking after myself. It isnt hard, when you think of how little ive actually done. I've kept myself alive off reheated pasta, 2-minute noodles, cereal and icypoles. The T.V has constantly been on for background noise, and Nick Cave has kept me in thought, with his effect of gloomy, powerful and extremely emotional music, which somehow makes me happy.
Friday and Saturday night were spend staying up till about 1 in the morning watching cartoons like Cow and Chicken, and eventually crawling to bed both times. AND both times in the morning, ive been woken up at about 6:30am from my chickens. This has left me extremely tired all weekend, which is the main reason for me not getting any exam study done.
Apart from that, ive spent most of my time on the computer, talking to my new friend Kell and myspacing. I got bored at one stage, so i recorded a lot of videos on mums camera of me beatboxing (i cant beatbox) around the house. Yeah, gotta love the WIILD teenage years.
Well, dinner is served, ive almost forgotten what cooked food tastes like.
Seeya round,
>Jimmy
